Lead the development and support of critical systems for VA healthcare messaging.
Build and modernize microservice REST APIs and legacy Java apps across VA infra.
Collaborate with product owners and VA stakeholders to design scalable Java/Spring on AWS.
Impact veterans' access to care and secure messaging in the VA health system.

🎯 Requirements

2–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend services.
Experience designing secure RESTful APIs, HL7/FHIR healthcare data.
Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
Familiarity with AWS cloud environments.
Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (JUnit, Mockito).
