Job purpose:

The Accounts Payable Manager plays a vital role in both financial operations and the wider company. Oversees the Accounts Payable department, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and expenses. Key responsibilities include managing the AP team and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. The AP manager will be working with numerous stakeholders across the business to ensure the Procure to Pay process is adhered to, and payments are made in a timely manner. As the first contact for AP related queries, we are looking for a confident self-starter who is supremely organised, comfortable working to deadlines and eager to own the process.

How you will contribute at Janes:

  • Supervise and support day-to-day activities of the accounts payable team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, driving efficiencies and providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, expenses and other payments, managing the payment runs, credit card reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with company policies. Manage audit and other ad hoc queries.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounts payable records, including processing, reconciliation, and maintaining a clean purchase ledger.
  • Own the Month End Review Process, hitting deadlines, compiling relevant financial reports including KPIs and collaborating with wider finance function to deliver best-in-class reporting.
  • Represent the AP team to the wider business, manage internal stakeholder queries and collaborate with the wider business to identify, design and implement process improvements.
  • Compile financial reports as part of the Month End process.
  • Cover duties for absence in department to support continuous process.

The ideal skills and experience for this role are:

  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Manager.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and internal relationships.
  • Comfortable working to strict deadlines and problem solving on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Office 365 are essential.
  • SAP Concur Invoice and Expenses experience is an advantage.
