Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a Software Development Lead to guide a high-performing engineering team while remaining hands-on with development. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in C# and SQL, experience building robust enterprise applications and a demonstrated ability to mentor, influence and drive technical excellence.
This person should embody a consultant mindset, communicating clearly, solving problems proactively and maintaining a positive, team-first attitude even in high-pressure moments. We are looking for a leader who is energized by delivering high-impact software solutions and helping a development team grow and succeed.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a team of software developers across multiple active projects.
- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and SQL.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Participate in architectural design and long-term technical planning.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize application performance and maintain existing systems.
- Maintain documentation, ensure development standards are followed and support agile delivery processes.
- Work with cloud, virtualization and automation technologies where applicable.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, processes and team capability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET
- Proficiency in SQL including schema design, query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience leading or mentoring software engineers
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns and modern development practices
- Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-focused setting
- Strong communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Greenville, South Carolina
- 100% Remote for the right candidate
The work hours will be approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required. Salary dependent upon experience.
