- Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings)
- Install, terminate, test, label, and document horizontal, backbone and other cables
- Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms
- Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs
🎯 Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years installing and testing fiber optics, copper cabling, and A/V systems
- 3+ years of raceway installation (conduit, cable tray, PVC)
- Ability to install, terminate and test low voltage cables and fiber (twisted pair, coax)
- BICSI/NEC/TIA-EIA; MM/SM fiber; Cat5e/6/6A; cable pathways
- Experience with IP and HD-SDI video cameras and infrastructure
