IoT Embedded Linux Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the embedded Linux platform: BSP, kernel config, device tree, bootloaders.
• Develop user-space apps using C++/Go/Rust for core device logic.
• Build production images with Yocto/Buildroot and manage layers.
• Implement secure OTA updates with Mender/RAUC/SWUpdate and A/B partitions.
• Harden devices: permissions, AppArmor/SELinux, secure boot/TPM.
• Deliver robust connectivity: Ethernet/Wi‑Fi/Cellular, MQTT/HTTPS, VPN.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of Embedded Linux experience shipping devices to production at scale.
• Strong proficiency in object‑oriented programming (C/C++/Go/Rust) in user space; Bash/Python; build systems (CMake/Make, BitBake).
• Hands‑on with Buildroot or Yocto (prefer Buildroot); custom layers, recipes, and SDKs.
• Solid understanding of Linux kernel basics, device trees, drivers/BSP integration, U‑Boot, and systemd.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP/DNS, TLS, MQTT/HTTPS, VPN; Wi‑Fi/cellular modules; AT command stacks a plus.
• Proven OTA experience: frameworks, partitioning, and rollback‑safe update flows.
• Git and CI (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar) for cross builds and test automation.
• BSc in EE/CE/CS (or equivalent practical experience).
• Nice to have: PREEMPT_RT real‑time, latency tuning.
• Nice to have: Edge packaging with containers (Docker/Podman) on ARM, OCI/CRUN, rootless.
• Nice to have: Cloud IoT (AWS/Azure IoT) device identity and provisioning.
