Thecandidateneedstobenaturallycuriousanddriventoanalyzecomplexsituationsandbetenaciousinobtaininginformation.He/Shemusthaveaccountingknowledge,andagoodunderstandingoffinancialstatements:incomestatement,balancesheetandcashflows.Understandingofdebtandequitysecuritiesisrequired.

Yourexpertisewillcontributetoinvestmentdecisions,riskmanagementstrategies,andtheoverallsuccessofourclients,whicharecorporates,investmentbanks,investorssuchasprivateequity/privatecreditfunds,hedgefundsandlegaladvisors.

YouwillalsoberesponsibleforreviewingandeditingNorthAmericaandEMEAreports,ensuringthateachreporthasalogicalflow,coherentstructure,andengagingcontentthatresonateswithourglobalaudience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analysefinancialstatements:Analysefinancialstatements,includingincomestatements,balancesheets,andcashflowstatements,quarterly,halfyearlyandannualreports,includingpressreleasestoassessthefinancialhealthofthecompaniesundercoverage.Identifykeyfinancialratios,buildfinancialsmodels,findtrendsandanomaliesthatmayimpactthecreditquality.
  • Performfundamentalanalysis:Conductthoroughfundamentalanalysisofcompanies,focusingonfinancialstatements,capitalstructureandliquidity,businessmodelsandindustrytrends,competitivepositioning,recenteventsandfutureplans.Evaluatecreditrisks,creditratingsanddefaultprobabilitiestoassesstheabilityofissuerstomeettheirfinancialobligations.
  • Conductindustryresearch:Evaluatetheimpactofchangingeconomicconditionsandmarketdynamicsoncreditrisk.Stayabreastofindustrytrends,marketconditions,regulatoryandeconomicchangesaffectingcompanies,potentialrisksandopportunitiesinallocatedsectors,andthehighyieldmarket.Attendonlineconferencesandseminars,wheneverneeded.
  • Preparecreditreports:Preparecomprehensivecreditreportssummarizingyouranalysiswithdetailedbreakdownofcompanyfinancials,profitability,liquidity,industrydynamics,capitalstructureandvaluation.Clearlycommunicatethekeyfactorsinfluencingcreditquality,potentialrisks,valuationandmitigatingfactorsinthereport.
  • Adhocwork:Workonandassistwith,variousweekly,monthly,quarterly,creditreportsand/orspecialreports,includingdatareportsandad-hocprojects

    • Required Skills, Qualification and Experience :

  • Education:Bachelor'sdegreeinfinance,economics,orarelatedfieldisrequired.Amaster'sdegreeinarelevantdisciplineoraCFA(CharteredFinancialAnalyst)designationisaplus.
  • Experience:Preferably1-2yearsofexperienceasaCreditAnalyst,withafocusonhighyieldbonds.Familiaritywithfixedincomemarkets,creditanalysis,andbondvaluationmethodologiesisaplus.Lesserexperiencewithimpeccableknowledgemightbeconsidered.
  • Industryknowledge:Understandingofdebtandequitysecuritiesandhownewsimpactspricesoffinancialinstruments.Knowledgeofhighyieldbondmarket,includingissuersandmarketparticipantsandfamiliaritywithcreditmarkettrends,yieldspreads,andcreditriskindicatorsisaplus.
  • Financialanalysisskills:Strongknowledgeofaccountancyandfinance(financialstatements:incomestatement,balancesheetandcashflows)throughdegreecourse,workexperienceorgraduatetrainingprogramme.Abilitytointerpretcomplexfinancialstatements,assesscreditrisk,andunderstandmarketdynamics.Thecandidateneedstobenaturallycuriousanddriventoanalyzecomplexsituations,shouldhavestrongproblem-solvingandcriticalthinkingskillsandbetenaciousinobtaininginformation.
  • Excelskills:ComprehensiveknowledgeofExcelandabilitytouseExcelformulasandbuildmodels.Proficiencyinfinancialmodelling,valuation,creditratingsandriskassessmentratios.
  • AutomationandCoding:HaveknowledgeandunderstandingofcurrentAItools,workingknowledgeofPython(preferred,notrequired),SQLandPowerBI,withabilitytousethemtoautomatewhereverpossible,includingdatascrapping,cleaning,storing,andvisualizingthesameusingPowerBIorothertools.
  • Attentiontodetail:Strongattentiontodetailandabilitytoidentifyandassessrisksaccurately.Thoroughnessinconductingresearchandverifyingdata.Meticulousinreviewingcontenttoensureaccuracyandconsistencyandcommitmenttodeliveringhigh-qualitywork.
  • Writtenskills:Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillstopresentcomplexcreditanalysisinaclearandconcisemanner.Abilitytobuildthesisandarticulateareportinastructuredway.Abilitytoreadfastandcomprehendinformation, includingquarterlyandannualreports,andfinancial&legalterminologies.
  • Communicationskills:Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills,ateamplayerwithdriveandinitiativetocollaborateeffectivelywithdiverseteamsacrossregions.
  • Teamwork:Reliable,helpfulandateammemberwithgoodworkethicswithabilitytoworkinateam-basedenvironment,withasenseofteamworkandcooperation.
