- Own the European accounting close process: monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
- Partner with Global Accounting team in the US to ensure timely regional reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for European entities.
- Ensure financial statements follow UK GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP, bridging frameworks.
- Lead in-region compliance, local statutory requirements, and multi-entity consolidations.
🎯 Requirements
- 8+ years in accounting/finance leadership (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
- Deep knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS; ability to bridge to US GAAP for US parent.
- Experience managing statutory accounts, external auditors, and full audit cycle across multiple entities.
- Hands-on VAT and indirect tax compliance across at least one European jurisdiction.
- Experience in a multinational environment with centralized/shared-services accounting model.
- Strong multi-currency consolidations, cash flow management, and intercompany transactions including FX.
