Platform Support Engineer

We are seeking a Platform Support Engineer to join our Engineering Support team. As a high-tech provider of on-demand healthcare staffing, IntelyCare relies on our robust software platform. If you are a motivated troubleshooter and a born diagnostician, this may be a perfect job for you.
*This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in Quincy, MA. Remote candidates will not be considered for this position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead the progression of IntelyCare software platform concerns, whether they are bugs, enhancements, or user experience issues, from initial report to validation in productionMonitor all work through development, QA, and deployment, followed by validation of the results in productionCollaborate with business leaders, developers, and QA engineers to troubleshoot and scope issuesDevelop basic SQL queries to diagnose issues and run various tasksCreate and run maintenance APIs to address ongoing concernsUse your creative skills to assess the impact of any issue and which customers are affected by it. This will require database queries and various analytics that you figure outAct as the owner of the issue and will diagnose it and figure out its scope and impactKeep an active working knowledge of past and current issues – and be alert for potential future issues within the platform – and make sure other teams in the company are kept informedKeep business and management apprised of status and any roadblocks Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science or equivalent professional experienceA growth mindset - you can overcome any challenge with effort and practiceA basic working knowledge of databases and SQL queriesSoftware coding experience, so that you can examine code in a variety of languages (Java, python, PHP) and have a reasonable understanding of what is going onGood written and verbal communications skillsFamiliarity with Software Development Life CycleExperience with ExcelFamiliarity with popular software tools, such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Confluence, Zendesk, JiraFamiliarity with platforms such as iOS, Android, and AWSSome understanding of the Agile methodology Physical Demands for Office Based Positions constantly reach to use computers, monitors, and other office equipmentconstantly need to view objects at close and distant rangesconstantly communicate with others verbally and in writingfrequently required to sit or standThis position functions in an office and technical environment and requires fine manipulation and simple grasping to utilize the computer and other standard office equipment.Required occasional lifting and transporting of items weighing up to 25 lbs. Compensation Compensation for the Platform Support Engineer will be between $90,000 - $95,000 + 10% bonus.
