Infrastructure Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Build infrastructure capable of metadata for hundreds of billions of files and petabytes of data with millions of concurrent connections.
• Lead Dropbox’s data fabric, connecting apps, devices, and services globally; drive interoperability across ecosystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle audacious challenges and push the boundaries of what's possible.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable systems that power global scale and user experiences.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster learning within the infra engineering team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies to keep Dropbox infrastructure competitive.

🎯 Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record building and managing expansive, multi-threaded backend systems.
• Proficient in Python, Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Proficient with OS internals, filesystems, databases, networks, and compilers.
• Proven ability to define and deliver well-scoped milestones and tackle ambiguous problems.
• Familiarity with Semaphores and Mutexes.
