📋 Description

  • Plan, manage, review, and complete state/local tax compliance and consulting.
  • Provide SALT expertise; manage client relationships; mentor staff.
  • Help clients minimize state/local tax liabilities while staying compliant.
  • Advise on multi-state tax planning, nexus, credits, and incentives.
  • Respond to state tax notices and assist with audits and controversies.
  • Develop strong client relationships with responsive service.
  • Support BD efforts and identify opportunities to expand services.
  • Supervise and mentor staff; review work for quality.
  • Stay current on state/local tax legislation and regulations.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years in public accounting focusing on SALT.
  • Strong multi-state income tax and franchise tax experience.
  • Experience with state tax research and planning.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
  • Experience supervising tax professionals.
  • Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess) and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, research, organizational, and communication skills.
