Yard Truck Driver

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Yard Truck Driver in Pooler, GA.

COMPENSATION

$21/hr

ROLE COMMITMENTS

• Drive diesel powered tractor trailer combination. Uses Yard tractor to shuttle trailers and or containers around the yard, and in and out of dock doors at distribution center by performing the following duties.2 years yard driver experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives yard dog to shuttle trailers/containers around the yard. Drives forklift as needed. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.. Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks. Ability to meet physical demands of job.

Education and Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Clean DVR and 2 years driving experience (local and yard dog).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSCompletion of MSDS and HCP training and test. Medical card, Class A CDL driver’s license preferred but not required.
