We are seeking a Marketing Project Business Partner who will be embedded within a specific business unit (BU), acting as a key liaison between the Marketing team and the business unit. This role will focus on supporting marketing request intakes, ensuring that the needs of the BU are met with precision and efficiency, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships across teams. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solution-oriented, and deeply ingrained in the day-to-day activities of the BU to anticipate their marketing needs and help drive the success of their initiatives.
ROLE COMMITMENTS
- Build an approach and execute on regular prioritization decisions (1x a month minimum) within the assigned business units. Represent and communicate to the BU cross-functional prioritization, when appropriate.
- Provide weekly status reports to Marketing Leadership and Business Unit Stakeholders communicating risks and opportunities.
- Develop a marketing workflow in Asana based on standardized BU requests.
- Develop quarterly calendars of top BU priorities to surface marketing support opportunities. Drive proactive discussions with BU stakeholders and Marketing to ensure plans are being developed and executed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Unit Integration:Act as the primary marketing point of contact for the assigned business unit, gaining a deep understanding of its goals, challenges, and needs to better serve its objectives.
- Support International Growth Through Marketing: Learn from Americas’ strategies to integrate top markets to parity. Challenge stakeholders to include all markets during project inception.
- Marketing Request Management:Oversee the intake process for marketing requests from the BU, ensuring all submissions are prioritized, tracked, and aligned with broader marketing goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate closely with other marketing teams (Creative, Product Marketing, Paid Media, etc.) to facilitate smooth execution of marketing initiatives for the BU.
- Strategy Alignment:Work with business unit leaders to understand their goals, KPIs, offering insights and bring back information to Marketing to help with creation and execution of the supporting marketing strategy.' What I am trying to get at here is that the PM isn't responsible for the marketing strategy but relaying and helping to drive the execution of a marketing strategy.
- Project Management:Coordinate and oversee marketing projects from inception through execution, ensuring timelines, and expectations are met.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize marketing processes, ensuring the BU’s marketing requests are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Proactive Support:Anticipate upcoming needs for the BU and act proactively to ensure that the BU receives the right marketing support at the right time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2-4 years in marketing, project management, or a related field, with experience working directly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both marketing teams and business unit stakeholders.
- A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges and provide creative, actionable solutions.
- Ability to work well within a team, build relationships, and navigate organizational structures to get things done.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, where priorities can shift and change rapidly.
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate the needs of the business unit, ensuring that marketing efforts are always aligned with the BU's goals.
Preferred Qualifications (Non-measurable, not a disqualifier)
- Experience in a cross-functional or business partner role, especially within marketing.
- Knowledge of marketing technology platforms and tools.
- Familiarity with the business unit's industry or market sector.
