Senior Systems Reliability Engineer

Overview

IEX Group is seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team. You will help build and maintain highly available, scalable systems that power our trading platform and data services. This remote-friendly role is open to candidates across North America.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure and services.
• Instrument systems, develop monitoring and alerting, and manage on-call rotation.
• Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes.
• Collaborate with software engineering, security, and product teams to improve reliability and performance.
• Build automation for deployment, testing, and operations (CI/CD).
• Drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategies.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a similar role; strong Linux/Unix experience.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, Go or similar).
• Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Incident response and on-call experience; strong communication and collaboration.

Nice to have

• Financial services domain experience.
• Familiarity with networking, security best practices, and compliance considerations.
