Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at IEX Group, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software systems that power our market data services and trading infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of our customers and scale with the business.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement reliable, high-quality software components and services.
Contribute to the design of data models and APIs that power market data and trading workflows.
Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in code quality, testing, and automation.
Collaborate with product and data teams to define requirements and deliver roadmaps.
Build and operate on scalable systems in the cloud and on-premise environments.
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development experience in a production environment.
Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Java; strong knowledge of software design patterns.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient SQL.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Nice-to-have

Experience with real-time data processing, streaming systems, or financial markets.
Familiarity with gRPC/REST APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
