We are looking for a passionate Senior Media Partnerships Executive to join our Media Team in Shanghai. As a Senior Media Partnerships Executive at Hypebeast, you will drive the media business development and media sales revenues in China. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Media Partnerships.

You will be responsible for media revenue generation and holding ultimate accountability for the delivery of your individual revenue and margin goals. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with external brand partners and sell Hypebeast’s large suite of media products and services to fulfill the needs and wants of the clients. You will proactively explore new opportunities, visit prospects, and secure partnerships. As this is a senior position, you will need to have a seasoned understanding of the media landscape in China, a mature practice of media advertising, an eye for creative excellence, an understanding of the production process as well as a profound passion for youth culture and Hypebeast.

Responsibilities:

  • Hit the media sales revenue and margin targets assigned by the company.
  • Identify viable and suitable business opportunities and convert into meaningful partnerships in the youth culture space.
  • Set, track, and monitor the individual revenue pipelines and leads, managing the selling process to be effective, timely and ultimately ensuring a healthy conversion rate.
  • Establish strong and long-lasting relationships with clients to enable us to develop new strategies and services, and foster long-term business gains.
  • Understand and translate client’s briefs and requirements into actionable plans and clear deliverables.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams including Editorial, Creative, Media Production, and Event teams to align, plan and implement various projects and initiatives.
  • Handle negotiations, quotations, pre-sale client communications, client contract and payment, cost control, and follow company’s directives to ensure business compliance and integrity.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, marketing, finance, design, or other equivalent professional experiences.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in media or creative industry, previously working at a media company, a digital/content advertising agency, or other similar companies is an advantage.
  • Be up to date on fashion, music, art, and entertainment, as well as the knowledge about Hypebeast culture and the youth culture on both regional and global level.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, work hard and follow guidelines.
  • First class networking skills, a self-starter who can work independently yet be part of a team.
  • Negotiation skill is a must-have.
  • Media and content experience is a plus.
  • A high-performance focus, solid work ethic and a very hands-on nature.
  • A clear passion and energy for business, and how to create values for both brand partners and Hypebeast.
  • Solid written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
  • An understanding that you have to make things happen yourself and manage the business to make sure you achieve your own objectives.
  • Good command of English and the proficiency of other languages within the APAC region is a plus.
