Your role at Hostinger

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager with a passion for creating robust and scalable systems. In this role, you will directly shape the technical landscape of our website builder leading a team of exceptional developers.

What You Will Do:

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end process, from architecture and design to development, deployment, and continuous operation of solutions crafted by your team of developers.
  • Actively participate in planning, estimation, and roadmap discussions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product, Product Managers, Tech-Lead to facilitate the timely delivery of initiatives, emphasizing a balance between innovation and efficiency.
  • Assume responsibility for the stability and reliability of the product, implementing measures to enhance performance and user experience.
  • Engage in the collection of relevant inputs from other product teams and stakeholders, fostering a holistic approach to solution development.
  • Lead the team in identifying and overcoming technical challenges and roadblocks, promoting a culture of resilience and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to efficient code engineering practices and maintaining a high standard of code quality.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and knowledge sharing, leveraging the diverse skills within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and constructive feedback sessions, nurturing professional growth and excellence within the team.
  • Your skills and experience

  • You are a self-starter who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Leadership experience, either as a team lead or manager.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Team-spirited, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • "Embracing the unknown" is a concept that doesn't intimidate you.
  • Strong understanding and experience in designing system architectures.
  • Strong understanding of app state management (Redux, NgRx, bonus points for VUEX and Pinia).
  • Extensive JavaScript experience and good knowledge of at least one Javascript framework. (React, Angular, bonus points for Vue and Node.js).
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS3, SASS.
  • Experience in using the Git versioning system.
  • Typescript knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of proper code design.
  • Unit testing and end-to-end testing practices and tools.

  • Compensation

  • Gross salary starting from 5500 EUR/month (depends on your skills and experience).
