Software Engineer, GTM Growth

HockeyStack is an Applied AI company on a mission to automate sales, marketing, and customer success for B2B companies. We build the most complete and accurate picture of the B2B buyer by integrating with every tool your team uses, partnering with third-party data providers, and deploying custom AI research agents. We use this data to power applications that automate high-value, high-complexity workflows across the go-to-market and revenue teams. Our core products include:

  • Marketing Intelligence – instantly answers questions like “What led to that sudden drop in pipeline?”

  • Account Intelligence – surfaces next-best actions to help reps move target accounts toward conversion

Since launching in January 2023, we’ve come through Y Combinator, raised a $20M Series A led by Bessemer. We’re growing 3× year-over-year, have hit multimillion ARR, and process over 60 TB of GTM data monthly. Based at our San Francisco HQ, we operate fully in-person, move fast and hire people who are ready to win.

🚀 Your Mission

You’ll be a core builder on HockeyStack’s GTM Engineering team, building and deploying data-centric automations across the revenue stack. You will design data pipelines to ingest, enrich, transform, and route records, maintain reliable bidirectional syncs, and preserve a single source of truth. You will also convert multi-step processes into dependable, monitored workflows that enhance outbound execution and accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.

🔧 What You’ll Do

Workflow Automation

  • Build, deploy, and manage automations to streamline GTM processes and eliminate repetitive manual work.

  • Configure triggers, logic, and outputs to connect core systems and enable smooth operational handoffs.

Data Pipeline Management

  • Design and maintain pipelines to ingest, enrich, transform, and route records across GTM systems.

  • Ensure accurate, real-time data flows and maintain a single source of truth through reliable bi-directional syncs where supported.

Systems Integration

  • Manage and optimize data flows between Salesforce and Outreach to keep GTM activities aligned.

AI-Powered Optimization

  • Leverage OpenAI and Perplexity to enhance automation, improve data enrichment, and drive greater operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with teams under the broader GTM umbrella (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) to identify workflow gaps and deliver scalable solutions.

  • Translate multi-step GTM processes into dependable, monitored workflows that improve outbound execution and accelerate pipeline growth.

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills. You can write complex queries, model data, and build dashboards.

  • Backend development experience with Python and JavaScript. Skilled at writing scripts, working with APIs, and creating utilities to support and scale automations.

  • Knows when and how to leverage AI models (OpenAI, Perplexity) to maximize output while minimizing cost.

Background

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or GTM engineer, ideally working with SaaS MarTech, CRM, SalesOps, or RevOps platforms.

  • Proven track record supporting multi-product, multi-year, and multi-segment enterprise sales cycles.

  • Preferably with experience working with B2B SaaS companies in the $10M to $100M ARR range.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier).

  • Understands Salesforce and Outreach object structures (accounts, contacts, activities).

The salary range for this role is $$97,000-$125,000 (CAD) annually, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
