As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will help design, build, and operate the underlying platform powering HiveMQ's services, driving reliability, performance, and developer productivity.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate scalable platform services and infrastructure
Improve reliability, observability, and performance of distributed systems
Collaborate with product teams to deliver robust platform features
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and tooling
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions
Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-mortems

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with Java/Kotlin
Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and scalable services
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and modern CI/CD practices
Proficiency with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience with MQTT or IoT platforms
Knowledge of observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
