The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer for HiveMQ Cloud, you will join the frontend team to design, implement, and ship delightful web experiences that power our cloud platform. You will mentor teammates, drive UI quality, and collaborate with product and backend engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality frontend features using React and TypeScript
• Collaborate with design and product to translate requirements into robust UI
• Improve performance, accessibility, and test coverage
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Work closely with backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL)

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
• Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs, and state management (e.g., Redux)
• Experience shipping SaaS web applications and working in cross-functional teams
• Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization skills

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and progressive enhancement
