Director of Industry Marketing at HiveMQ
HiveMQ is a leading enterprise MQTT messaging platform enabling secure, scalable communication for IoT applications. As the Director of Industry Marketing, you will own the go-to-market strategy for HiveMQ's key industry verticals, shape compelling messaging, and drive demand across a global customer base. You will partner with product, sales, and demand generation to develop programs that accelerate pipeline, expand market share, and strengthen HiveMQ’s leadership in the industrial IoT space.
What you'll do
- Define and execute vertical go-to-market strategies for target industries such as industrial IoT, automotive, and smart services.
- Develop value propositions, messaging frameworks, and buyer personas that resonate with enterprise customers.
- Lead demand generation programs (campaigns, events, content, webinars) and align with sales to drive predictable pipeline.
- Manage budgets, measure ROI, and optimize programs based on data and insights.
- Collaborate with product marketing, product management, and sales engineering to translate market insights into product and messaging improvements.
- Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team and foster cross-functional collaboration.
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of B2B technology marketing experience, with a track record of leading industrial or vertical marketing initiatives.
- Strong understanding of IoT, cloud messaging, and enterprise software buying processes; experience with MQTT is a plus.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; ability to influence at executive levels.
- Hands-on experience with demand generation, content marketing, events, and analytics; comfortable managing budgets and vendors.
- Strategic thinker who can translate market insights into scalable programs and measurable results.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
