About the Role:

We’re seeking a driven, self-motivated accounting professional who can ensure accounting excellence

through hands-on execution. In this role, you’ll be integral to our month-end close and core accounting

functions, partnering with the Senior Manager of Accounting, Director of Accounting, internal and

external stakeholders, and General Ledger team. You’ll own daily and monthly processes, maintain the

integrity of our financial records, and constantly seek opportunities to optimize and elevate our global

accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Monitor key accounting areas and investigate discrepancies over areas including, but not limited to, intercompany transactions, prepaids, accruals, leases, and commissions
  • Assist with preparation of financial reporting schedules for internal stakeholders and external audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control
  • Maintain strong internal controls
  • Provide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners by
  • Providing timely responses, financial insights, and relevant reporting
  • Manage ad hoc accounting projects, from system enhancements to special analyses
  • Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of post qualification experience in accounting roles
  • Combined public accounting (Big 4) and private industry at a publicly traded company
  • Chartered Accountant qualification is a requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX/internal controls
  • Knowledge in commissions, intercompany, leases, and accruals is a plus
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (experience with NetSuite is a plus) and advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to drive tasks independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to change
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • A proactive “can-do” attitude that is eager to take on new challenges and contribute beyond traditional accounting duties
  • Flexibility to adapt to variety of engagement types, accounting, tax, global compliance
  • Understanding of Highspot's industry and sales enablement solutions is a plus
