Head of Policy

📋 Description

• Build real-time tracking for federal/state legislation on healthcare AI and telehealth.
• Own the policy roadmap across Akido's operating markets and expansion targets.
• Deliver concise policy briefings to leadership, legal, and business teams.
• Hire, manage, and evaluate contract lobbyists to execute policy priorities.
• Build relationships with federal agencies (HHS, CMS, FDA) and Congressional staff.
• Drive state-level regulatory engagement, including rulemaking and advisory committees.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in government relations/public policy; 5+ years in tech policy.
• Proven track record managing proactive and reactive policy campaigns.
• Experience hiring, managing contract lobbyists and external consultants.
• Capitol Hill, federal agency, or state government experience.
• Startup experience in high-growth tech companies (preferred).
• Healthcare policy (HIPAA, telehealth, CMS) and AI regulation; translate concepts for policymakers.
