Head of Engineering, Marketplace

📋 Description

• Own the engineering strategy, roadmap, reliability, and architecture for Fever Marketplace.
• Lead a manager-of-managers across engineering managers and senior ICs.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Ops to improve the full funnel from discovery to post-purchase engagement.
• Raise resilience and operational excellence for peaks, launches, incidents, observability, and capacity planning.
• Improve search and discoverability, pricing, checkout/payments, post-purchase servicing, and experimentation.
• Balance short-term growth with long-term health; invest for bottlenecks and health.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in software engineering with leadership of product-facing orgs.
• Proven experience leading multiple teams via managers in marketplaces or discovery funnels.
• Strong judgement in distributed systems, cloud infra, APIs, observability, and incident management.
• Experience with two areas among search, checkout, risk, retention, localisation, or high-traffic web/mobile.
• Translate commercial goals into engineering priorities via metrics and experimentation.
• Improve engineering maturity: planning, staffing, quality systems, reviews, delivery.
