Head of Department, Carpentry & Props

📋 Description

• Manage and supervise Carpentry & Props department and team.
• Operate stage carpentry and props equipment during shows and rehearsals.
• Maintain and repair equipment; ensure artist safety at all times.
• Develop, implement and monitor a safety inspection program.
• Plan, manage projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist Technical Director in recruiting Carpentry & Props staff.

🎯 Requirements

• Professional or technical training in scenic construction or equivalent.
• Min. 6 years in stage carpentry or prop fabrication; leadership.
• Advanced woodworking and metalworking; prop fabrication.
• Knowledge of stage machinery, motorized scenery, and automation.
• Read technical drawings; strong health and safety knowledge.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus; MS Office; willing to relocate.
