Head of Compliance, Malta

📋 Description

• Lead the OKCoin Europe Malta compliance team; set strategic direction.
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product and Risk to implement the program.
• Monitor Maltese/EU laws and policies; assess and manage compliance risk.
• Oversee annual and ad-hoc compliance reviews and risk assessments.
• Report to Head of Compliance EMEA; coordinate with local management as needed.
• Deliver ongoing training and awareness across the business.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, payments, fintech or crypto.
• Experience leading a compliance program in Malta/EU and awareness of best practices.
• Strong leadership; dealing with senior business stakeholders.
• Good people management skills.
• Previously held a regulated compliance approved person (e.g. SMF16) or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of EU regulations MiFID, MiCA and GDPR.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
