Hardware Development Engineer (Starlink)

📋 Description

• Process engineering for PCBA manufacturing for Starlink hardware
• Lead NPI of PCBA assemblies; qualify equipment and line layout; DFM feedback
• Implement, simplify, and automate high reliability manufacturing so production teams can operate independently of engineering
• Identify trends to optimize product output, quality, and manufacturability
• Drive volume PCBA production processes including manufacturing execution, nonconforming product management, configuration management, traceability, yield
• Manage work instructions, process documentation, and training

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, materials science, manufacturing engineering, or other engineering discipline
• 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing process engineering, SMT, accelerated testing, design for reliability, or PCB design and layout
• High volume production experience or ramping a production line in a cross-functional team
• Hands-on SMT/PCBA processes; knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards
• Experience with SPC, DOE, and manufacturing metrics (CPK, yield, OEE)
• Demonstrated track record developing new processes and transferring to production in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
• Competency with SQL and Python
