Role Scope
:The
Manager, PeopleOperationsis the operational backbone of the People Operations function. This role owns the design, execution, and continuous improvement of corepeopleprocesses across the full employee lifecycle in a California-heavy, multi-state healthcare environment. The role ensures operational excellence, data integrity, compliance execution, and a consistent team member experience in afast-growingstartup environment.Additionally, this role willassistin theevolutionofHabitat Health’stotal rewards program, encompassing compensation,benefits, and rewards.- In partnership with the Sr. Director of People,create and lead scalableand innovativeprocesses foronboarding, offboarding, job changes, and team member lifecycle processesin preparation for rapid growth.
- Assistwith policy creation, audit readiness, and compliance governancein a multi-state environment, witha heavyfocus on California.
- In partnership with Executive Directors and Clinical Leadership, create andoptimizephysician onboarding programs.
- Manage outsourced vendors including home care providers, transportation vendors, and ancillary vendorsoffering LOA support, etc.
- Monitorever-changing employment laws in a multi-state environment and make recommendations for policy changes.
- Owns the People Operations calendar to ensure we are prepared for keyactivitieswithin the team (Open Enrollment, etc.).
- Servesas the lead for annual Open Enrollment, working closely with benefit administrators, owning team member communications, ensuring system readiness, andmaintainingbenefits compliance across multi-state operations.
- Assistwith total rewards efforts includingmaintainingcareer architectures, pay ranges, and system implementations.
- Partner with the People Operations Generalistto address complex team member questions andrequests andmaintainservice-level expectations for People Operations.
- Serve as a thought partner to team members and managers to navigate complexquestions and interpretation of policies.
Qualifications:
- 5+years ofdemonstrablepeopleoperations/HR experience within afast-growinghealthcare setting.
- CA and multi-state employment lawexperience and building policies and handbooks.
- Strong working knowledge of California employment fundamentals (wage/hour, leaves, recordkeeping, etc.)
- Exceptional data analytics and reporting skillsutilizingvariousHRSystems.
- Hands-on experience with Rippling, Greenhouse Onboarding, and partnering with PEOs.
- Owned end to end open enrollment processes and communications.
- Must live in the state of California; 15% travel to centers as needed.

Compensation:
Wetake into accountan individual’s qualifications, skillset, and experience in determiningfinalsalary. This role is eligible for medical/dental/vision insurance, paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthingparents), short and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) savings, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The expected salary range for this position is$122,000 - $147,000 and isbonus eligible.The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion anddeterminedby relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
