BizTech (BT) Security Engineer will implement security strategy and operations within an organization. They also need to know how to assess security risks, test systems and networks, and investigate and respond to security events. Identity and access management, data protection, and security auditing and compliance are also areas of security architecture expertise.

BT Security Engineer must know programming languages, database management, statistical analysis, infrastructure, and cloud and storage systems management. This individual must stay updated on security innovations and risks across applications and provide their Point of view to ensure a continued strong security posture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Security: Establish partnership with Security to build a deep understanding of standards, policies, tooling/processes, and upcoming requirements. With Security, develop an enablement program to educate internal team members on security standards across applications. Ensure that the team is trained on how to implement, including helping with creating and managing a security run book.
  • Participate in Security Incident Response: Participate and collaborate with team members related security incidents, in addition to providing thorough post-event analyses in partnership with Security.
  • Security Assessments: Develop a rotational plan and manage assessments across enterprise applications by reviewing current system configuration, code, permission and profiles and make recommendations and support implementation initiatives.
  • Maintain and share knowledge: Collaborate with Security in the event of new potential security exposures, proactively reach out to application teams to ensure knowledge sharing, and actions to be taken. Be current with new zero-days and other security advisories, and bring awareness to the same with the teams.
  • Program Reviews: Become an expert across portfolio applications, and play a key role within major programs, conducting security assessments as a part of major projects pre-deployment to ensure compliance with security requirements and best practices.
  • Review and conduct disaster recovery procedures testing on a periodic basis as defined in the policy and standards
  • Conduct workshops on security standards and areas of focus in the industry on a minimum yearly basis.
  • Participate in weekly Infra and Apps lead meetings to share updates/best practices
  • Key Required Skills

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in IAM, Disaster Recovery, security auditing, compliance & Incidence Response
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or information systems or related field (or equivalent experience) required
  • Overall 8 to 10 years relevant experience
  • Excellent problem solving, multitasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to details are required to work in this challenging and dynamic environment
  • Strong documentation skill, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills, as well as accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of applications such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Mulesoft, Oracle Fusion, OCI and RMCS and Workday will be helpful.
