Requirements:

• 1-2 years year of experience in Manufacturing/Production and/or Food/Beverage or related industry is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
• Ability to read the English language (preferred)
• Familiarity with ERP System (preferred)

Job Description:

At GT’s Living Foods, our Kefirs/Yo Operators (II) assist with ensuring that the highest quality ingredients are used to make the CocoYo that our consumers know and love. Mixing Operators (II) will occasionally perform the responsibilities of a Mixing Assistant and Kefirs/Yo Mixing Operator (I) in alignment with business needs. Kefirs/Yo Operators (II) are responsible for understanding department processes/SOPs from beginning to end.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and rotate as necessary between the stone mill, heat exchanger, and fermentation tanks
• Utilize ERP system to scan and consume ingredients as they are mixed in to the fermentation tank and declare the final mix as Report as Finished (RAF)
• Coordinate with other internal departments to determine ingredients necessary for production
• Assemble/Disassemble machinery consistent with daily production schedule
• Inspect security features and cleanliness of machinery before use (e.g., sensors, pumps, and valves)
• Review batch order overview information, such as consumption, returned material, and Report as Finished (RAF) quantity, escalate any production variance
• Documentation of daily ingredient usage and output
• Accurate documentation of specifications, batch taste, and escalate any deviations
• Report any issues regarding equipment malfunction, system errors, and downtime to management
• Ensure cleanliness of work area to maintain a safe work environment
• Model, reinforce, and demonstrate safe work practices and procedures, including wearing required PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines
• Perform weekly cycle count of raw materials assigned to the area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Duties and Requirements:

• Involves constant movement around the warehouse in a wet/humid environment and near moving mechanical/electrical equipment
• Constant bending, lifting and transportation of containers filled with ingredients (up to 45 lbs.) to be inspected for quality
• Frequent bending, lifting and transportation of raw material containers (up to 45 lbs.) to be palletized and placed into a cooler
• Frequent and repetitive twisting/reaching/lifting motions to transfer ingredients from containers to machinery using a container (up to 45 lbs.)
• Employees will be required to frequently operate in a cold environment (30-40°F)
• Frequent and repetitive twisting/reaching/lifting motions to retrieve and place empty containers under machinery dispensers*
• Employees are required to stand for the majority of their work shift
• Requires normal visual acuity to ensure containers are sufficiently sealed and ingredients are accurately measured
• Noise level in this area is above 84 dbs and requires earplugs

Job Details:

• Work Hours: Graveyard 9:30pm-6am
• Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of the work, each employee’s own safety and the safety of others, and the need to interact with the public.
• Pay Range: $18.00/Hr - $18.00/Hr
