Government Finance Subject Matter Expert

📋 Description

• Conduct in-depth discovery with finance teams on chart of accounts, reporting, and budget cycles.
• Translate complex accounting workflows into system configurations and future-state models.
• Demonstrate public sector finance workflows, focusing on reconciliations and reporting.
• Serve as the primary accounting SME for customers evaluating OpenGov ERP.
• Guide GASB compliance, budget-to-actual reporting, purchasing controls, transparency.
• Help develop RFIs, RFPs, RFQs content for finance and accounting needs.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/public accounting strongly preferred.
• 2+ years in finance or ERP systems in technical/functional roles.
• Strong understanding of government finance, fund accounting, GASB, budgeting, and audits.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based ERP or financial management systems.
• Ability to clearly communicate accounting concepts to finance, IT, and leadership.
• Travel up to 25%.
