📋 Description

• Front-line advocate on policy areas incl. national security, AI, and satellite comms.
• Shape legislative strategies for the federal government, esp. defense and intel committees.
• Develop and maintain relationships with federal officials, lawmakers, and regulators.
• Oversee consultants and third-parties engaged in SpaceX government affairs.
• Draft legislative language, attend hearings, draft testimony, and policy positions.
• Monitor and analyze national security policy and funding developments.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years in legislative matters (private or government)
• Direct experience with federal appropriations (defense/classified)
• Advanced degree (MA/JD/PhD) in science, policy, or international affairs
• Outstanding written and verbal communications
• Direct experience achieving definitive legislative outcomes
