Chief of Staff

GoodVets is a network of innovative animal hospitals co-owned by local veterinarians who operate them. We elevate the veterinary experience through modern, luxurious hospitals built around a unique vet-owner model. Backed by leading private equity firms General Atlantic and SkyKnight Capital, we are rapidly expanding across the U.S.

We are seeking a Chief of Staff(to the CFO) to support high-impact modeling and analytical work directly tied to the company’s most important strategic initiatives. This is not a traditional FP&A role. You will help answer critical business questions, evaluate growth opportunities, and build models that inform exec-level decisions. This is a great fit for someone with investment banking or private equity experience who is looking to transition into a high-growth, operating company with direct exposure to strategy, execution, and value creation.

The Impact You Will Have Every Day:

• Build and maintain detailed financial models to support strategic decision-making (e.g., market entry, pricing, service line expansion, resource allocation)

• Work closely with the CEO and Strategic Finance leadership to analyze investment opportunities and business cases

• Translate high-level problem statements into structured financial frameworks and clear recommendations

• Conduct ROI, scenario, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of business initiatives

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather data and assumptions for model inputs

• Support preparation of executive- and board-facing materials

What We Look For:

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or a similarly rigorous analytical role, with subsequent strategic finance experience at a fast-paced, scaling company a plus

• Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, with the ability to build models from scratch

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and making assumptions grounded in logic and business judgment

• Strong communication skills, especially in distilling data into concise insights

• Motivated by working in a fast-paced, high-growth, PE-backed environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
