About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET 3 to join our Marketplace Team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API testing and automation, excellent coding skills, and hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable marketplace solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and web applications
  • Lead API testing efforts, including functional, integration, regression, and contract testing
  • Build and enhance API automation suites with robust validation and reporting
  • Develop end-to-end automation using Playwright with TypeScript
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code following best practices
  • Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios
  • Drive shift-left testing practices and ensure test coverage early in the development lifecycle
  • Review test cases, automation code, and provide mentorship to junior SDETs
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration and ensure automation runs as part of release pipelines
  • Proactively identify quality risks and drive improvements in testing strategies and processes
  • Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/SDET roles
  • Strong expertise in API testing (REST, JSON, HTTP, authentication mechanisms)
  • Proven experience in API automation frameworks
  • Excellent coding skills with TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation
  • Strong understanding of test design patterns, automation best practices, and SDET principles
  • Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, REST clients, or similar
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience testing marketplace platforms, integrations, or third-party APIs
  • Knowledge of contract testing (Pact or similar)
  • Experience with performance testing of APIs
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Experience mentoring or leading QA initiatives
