Senior Workday Systems Engineer - Payroll

Overview

GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Workday Systems Engineer - Payroll to join our IT Operations team. This remote-friendly role will support the Workday Payroll module for GoDaddy globally, focusing on configuration, integrations, data integrity, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to implement changes, assist with upgrades, and provide ongoing payroll support across the business ensuring compliance and timely pay runs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Workday Payroll configuration
• Develop and maintain payroll integrations using Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday Studio
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and coordinate with HR, Finance, and IT
• Lead testing, cutovers, and validation during implementations and upgrades
• Maintain data quality, security, and regulatory reporting
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and dashboards
• Provide guidance and mentorship for junior engineers
• Support production incident response and on-call rotations

Requirements

• 5+ years in Workday Payroll configuration and support
• Deep knowledge of Workday integration tools: Core Connectors, EIB, Workday Studio
• Strong understanding of payroll tax rules and benefits within Workday
• Experience with data mapping, data loads, and reporting
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; professional certifications preferred
