The Role

Director of Product Quality and Technical Excellence will lead Glossier’s quality assurance organization, define and implement the global quality strategy, and partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations to ensure top-tier quality across web, mobile, and infrastructure. You will establish quality gates, own release governance, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the QA strategy across the product portfolio and lifecycle.
• Build and mentor a high-performing QA/Quality Engineering team.
• Lead test strategy, including test planning, execution, and automation efforts (CI/CD integration).
• Develop and monitor quality metrics, risk management, and release governance.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Security, and Customer Success to ensure quality standards are met.
• Promote best practices in performance, security, accessibility testing, and reliability engineering.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in product quality or software quality assurance leadership.
• Proven track record building and scaling QA organizations in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with test automation, CI/CD, and modern QA tooling (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
• Experience in consumer brands or e-commerce is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), security and performance testing, and data-driven quality programs.
• Familiarity with product analytics, quality metrics, and risk assessment frameworks.

Location & Work Model

Based in New York, NY. This is an on-site role with potential for hybrid flexibility.
