GitLab is looking to add a Sales Operations Analyst to join the team to help support and partner closely with Sales and cross-functional teams to drive and support this growing department. This position is 100% remote and based in the US time zone.

To create an infrastructure of scalable sales processes and sales tools governed by policies and supported by credible data that contribute to the productivity and optimization of the field organization. We aim to achieve this through cross-functional collaboration across the business continuum.

 

Key Tenets

The “Connective Tissue”  between the organization’s Sales Strategy and GTM execution strategy.  Providing strategic direction while easing the sales process, allowing sales teams to sell more efficiently and effectively. Constant inspection (pulse) of the health of the GTM organization by leveraging data to make business-critical recommendations Maintaining a consistent business rhythm. Providing coverage to run and explore new areas of opportunity without distracting or diverting resources from the rest of the company.

 

What you'll do
  • Successfully accomplishes responsibilities with minimal direction or oversight.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of the Go To Market (GTM) policies and processes and concept application to support sales operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional operations teams to ensure compliance to standardized processes.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Systems team for ongoing automation improvements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process automation and optimization, with a focus on scalability and driving significant growth
  • Assist with month-end close activities as they pertain to Salesforce data normalization.
  • Sales support: timely responses to Salesforce Chatter requests in compliance with GTM Rules of Engagement.
  • Sales support: timely responses to Sales Support slack channel to resolve Sales process questions and issues.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Create & leverage Salesforce dashboards to maintain data integrity and support GTM Rules of Engagement policies
  • Reporting & Analytics: Create and implement reporting and dashboards for the sales organization that focuses on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity while also collaborating with Sales Strategy Sales Data Analytics for alignment 
  • Reporting & Analytics: Support ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Manage the operational aspect of on-boarding new employees and transition of existing employees
  • Collaborate with Territory Operations to support cross-functional activities related to territory operations account alignment
  • Leverage technical expertise to collaborate with IT and represent SFDC issues for system enhancements and maintenance
  • Document and create knowledge repository for first-tier sales support

 

What you'll bring
  • Proficient understanding of the entire sales operations function
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in GTM policies and processes
  • Intermediate experience in strategic thinking
  • Highly organized with strong tactical experience and attention to detail
  • Self-starter and effectively works with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritize projects/initiatives and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Proficient with Salesforce and case management
  • Proficient with enterprise SaaS tools and Sales tech stack
  • Salesforce Administration certification required
  • SaaS and B2B experience preferred
  • Interest in GitLab, and open source software

Remote-Global

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
Colorado/Washington pay range

$70,000

$135,000 USD

California/Hawaii/New York/New Jersey pay range

$70,000

$150,000 USD
