Machine Learning Intern

📋 Description

• Contribute to ML research on sequence, structure and function for protein design.
• Develop a summer project with a mentor in a cross-functional team.
• Build and evaluate generative models of proteins and molecules.
• Explore protein representations and use high-throughput data to inform design.
• Present your work at the Machine Learning Intern Summer Symposium.
• Collaborate with wet lab and computational scientists to translate research into medicines.

🎯 Requirements

• Current PhD student in applied math, CS, computational biology, statistics, or related.
• Experience conceiving and developing ML methods with generative modeling and/or LLM workflows.
• Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with NumPy/SciPy or R.
• Experience with protein sequence or structure data is a plus.
• Experience building agentic LLM apps orchestrating tools (APIs, databases, code execution) is a plus.

• Hourly pay range: $55.29–$71.88 USD per hour.
