The Role

As an Associate Business Director, you will be the central hub of client relationships, responsible for the day-to-day management of accounts and ensuring outstanding results.

You will be a hands-on practitioner, with your expertise in client servicing, media planning, and team management being crucial for campaign execution. This is a role for someone who thrives on a proactive, solutions-driven approach and is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day servicing of multiple client accounts, ensuring all needs are met.

  • Develop and rationalise implementation recommendations across all media channels.

  • Manage the financial health of your accounts, including negotiations with media partners, tracking contracts, and ensuring accurate invoicing.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver cohesive, on-time work.

  • Actively manage and mentor direct reports, identifying skills gaps and ensuring best practices are maintained.

This role is for you if:

  • You’ve been a Business Manager or Senior Planner and are ready to run your own show.

  • You enjoy being hands-on, from implementation through to client strategy, and can confidently discuss both digital and traditional channels.

  • You’re curious, solutions-driven, and love working across a variety of categories.

This role is not for you if:

  • You’re looking for a pure strategy or leadership role without rolling up your sleeves.

  • You prefer large, layered teams over a lean, senior, and fast-moving environment.

  • You need strict structure or constant direction, as autonomy and ownership are key here.

What we are looking for

  • 6+ years’ experience within a planning or buying role in an agency environment.

  • Strong understanding of media planning across all channels and the role of strategy in implementation.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate objectives into channel impact.

  • Excellent relationship management skills with both clients and media partners.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong numerical acumen.
