We are looking for an exceptional Payments Associate to join our team within the Operations function. In this role, you’ll assist with day-to-day operational processes in the Payments team, collaborating closely with the broader brokerage team.
You’ll play a key part in managing investment processing, settlement payments, FX payments, cash management, and resolving any cash or stock breaks. As we scale, you’ll also have the opportunity to identify and drive process improvements, helping us build a robust and efficient operations function.

Developing a deep understanding of operational payment processes and their impact on Freetrade and its clients.
Maintaining consistent and high-level execution and documentation of daily operational tasks related to payments processing. Key activities such as: investment processing, settlement and FX payments, and cash management, including the resolution of reconciliation issues.
Success of your team by consistently meeting individual SLAs and KPIs, thereby helping achieve overall team performance targets and service standards.
Detecting and escalating domain specific issues and ensuring timely escalation to relevant stakeholders.
Driving continuous improvement of processes and tools through collaboration with team members and cross-functional partners to support team growth and scalability
You are based in Budapest
You have excellent written and verbal English skills to communicate with key stakeholders and banking partners;
You’re accurate and pay attention to detail;
You’re meticulous and accurate in your task execution;
You have a strong interest in the brokerage environment, additionally Payments Operations experience, a related degree or ongoing studies would be considered a plus;
You are comfortable working independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can contribute ideas and collaborate effectively with others;
You enjoy taking on challenges, are driven to make a meaningful impact, and take ownership of your work with a high degree of independence.

We’re operating in a hybrid model: 3-days in-office / 2-days from home. We believe great collaboration happens in person and our beautiful offices in central London and Budapest are designed to bring people together.
