📋 Description

  • Multiphysics Simulation Development: design, build, validate optical-multiphysics models.
  • Laser System Modeling: model amplifiers, gain media, pumps, and thermal management.
  • Digital Twin Enablement: develop and maintain the digital twin for system optimization.
  • Model Validation & Uncertainty: integrate data, analyze sensitivity, refine models.
  • Cross-Functional Design Support: collaborate with optical engineers to align designs.
  • Optimization & Acceleration: surrogate models and optimization workflows.

🎯 Requirements

  • Master’s/Ph.D. in optics, computational physics, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of laser/optical systems and thermo-mechanical coupling.
  • Experience building multiphysics or digital twin models for complex systems.
  • Proficiency with COMSOL/ANSYS/Zemax/FRED/CodeV; Python/MATLAB/C/C++; Git.
  • Modeling discipline: validate assumptions, quantify uncertainty, improve fidelity.
  • Preferred: Simulink/Modelica/Simcenter; HPC (MPI/CUDA); hands-on laser exposure.
