As our EMEA Environmental Manager, you will act as a technical advisor to all EMEA stakeholders on Fluence environmental regional matters.

Tasks:

Collaborate with global and regional Environment/Social/Governance, Environmental/Health/Safety, Systems Engineering and Compliance teams to ensure understanding and consistent approach to environmental compliance.

May independently determine approaches to EMEA regional environmental issues.

Advise on environmental matters related to EMEA regulations including but not limited to F-Gases, REACH, RoHS regulatory compliance.

Aid with maintaining ISO 14001 compliance.

Assist global environmental colleagues with development of internal environmental policies, programs, procedures as may be required for company, facility, or project compliance with pertinent regulations.

Develop, plan, lead training programs to promote knowledge of and conformity with environmental requirements for the company at large, as well as at the project and facility level, as requested.

Attends weekly/monthly ESG management meeting and keeps record of environmental related action items.

Collaborate with Environmental/Health/Safety to conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) investigations of incidents that may involve risk or potential liability; maintain records of pertinent data and compile required analysis reports on such investigations.

Performs safety walks when in the field and records observations to be entered in Salesforce database.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering or related field and 5+ years' work experience in an environmental management/coordinator type role.

Knowledge of REACH (Including ECHA registration and knowledge on Waste Frame Directive 2008/98/EC), RoHS, WEEE, F-Gas Regulations (existing and upcoming regulations), Battery Directive, POPs regulation, New EU battery regulation.

Experience working in the construction industry and/or energy sector operations with program compliance responsibilities is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001.

Experience working with Salesforce.

Regulatory standards for hazardous / nonhazardous waste management and other associated environmental regulations and applicable legislation.

Professional environmental certification i.e., REM, REP, CEA, CESCO, etc. is a plus.

Fluent in English.

Highly experienced with Microsoft Office tools.

Possess a valid/current EU Passport and valid driver's license.

Ability routinely works with a team that is globally dispersed.

Ability to connect in person at the Erlangen, Germany office and up to 15% global travel.
