Flink Robotics is a fast-paced startup backed by world-class VCs, originating from the Computational Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich. We’re building the next generation of plug-and-play robots, powered by a novel approach to make robots autonomous. Our robots are designed to revolutionize material handling, from stacking boxes to sorting parcels and unloading goods.

We’re looking for a hands-on Field Robotics Engineer who loves debugging, stress-testing and is ready to install robots that move the world’s parcels. In this role, you’ll be the face of Flink at customer sites and industry events, making sure every system is rigorously tested, commissioned and continuously improved.

Who you are

  • Eager to join a VC-backed startup in its early phase and take ownership of field projects.

  • Passionate about robotics: from mechanics and electronics to computer vision and control.

  • Proactive problem-solver wanting to learn new things

  • Clear communicator, fluent in English, German is a strong plus.

  • Excited about frequent travel to production sites (up to 60 %).

  • Enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and customers on the shop floor.

What you bring

  • Understanding of mechatronics, sensors, networking and basic control principles

  • Demonstrated track record in commissioning complex electromechanical or robotic systems in the field

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues

  • Excited about travel and deploying robots in production environments

  • Prior robot deployments, proficiency in German or other languages, driver's license and familiarity with Linux are a plus

What you'll do

  • Assemble, configure and test our robots in the lab and at customer sites to iterate and improve the system

  • Plan, coordinate and execute on-site installations, acting as the technical lead and ensuring a smooth handover to the customer

  • Run our autonomy stack and tune perception and motion modules in production environments

  • Train operators and provide hands-on support during ramp-up, collecting insights that feed straight back into our product roadmap

  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues, both remotely and on-site

  • Represent Flink at customer demos, pilots, trade shows and industry events

  • Record field data and transfer lessons learnt to our engineering teams to unlock new use-cases and improve reliability

Why join

  • A great team dedicated to building a product with almost unlimited potential

  • Work on challenging problems at the cutting edge of robotics

  • Competitive salary, equity, and top-tier gear

  • Work in a central office in Zurich and around the world, wherever our partners are

Apply now if you’re ready to push boundaries and help shape the future of robotics!
