About the role

We're hiring a Director of Product Marketing, Rent to lead the go-to-market strategy for our core business. This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment for Flex—you'll be a core leader within our Rent division, working closely with the General Manager of Rent and product leads to drive growth. Your goal will be to effectively position the product to meet customer needs and remain competitive in the market as we scale rapidly.

This is a unique opportunity for a leader who is both a strategic visionary and a hands-on executor. Given our stage, you'll need to roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds to drive results.

This role offers remote flexibility within a hybrid work model in either the NYC or San Francisco. Candidates relocating to the NYC or SF area may be eligible for relocation assistance.

What you'll do
  • Lead go-to-market strategy: develop & execute the go-to-market strategy for our Rent product ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Own product positioning: Define and manage the product’s core messaging and value proposition. You will craft compelling narratives and customer profiles that ensure competitive positioning, and build frameworks for consistency across all channels.
  • Drive product growth: Partner with product and CRM teams to optimize in-product messaging and lifecycle comms to drive engagement and retention.
  • Champion market & customer insights: You'll conduct primary research and partner with our research team to synthesize a holistic view of the market, serving as the voice of the customer to inform product positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy.
  • Establish & own key metrics: Help define and track key success metrics, establishing OKRs for product marketing, and ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
What you'll bring
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with 3+ years in a leadership role in high-growth consumer or fintech environments.
  • Proven success: You’ve led product marketing for consumer products with a large user base under stringent regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Strategic influence: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.
  • Exceptional analytical skills: Adept at translating complex data into actionable insights that inform product and business decisions.
  • A blend of strategic and hands-on experience: You can define a high-level strategy and also dive into the details of execution. You have an outcome-oriented mindset with a strong bias for action.

The compensation range for this role will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. For working locations in NY/NJ/CA, the base salary pay range is $200,000-$211,000.
