Overview

Fleetio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Reporting & Analytics to design and build scalable data pipelines and analytics features that empower customers to understand and optimize their fleets. This remote-friendly role collaborates with data, product, and engineering teams to deliver reliable reporting services and dashboards that drive product insights and business decisions. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of reporting solutions—from data ingestion and transformation to presentation in dashboards and BI tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and reporting services
Build scalable data models and schemas for analytics
Implement ETL/ELT processes to surface metrics for product and business teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
Optimize queries and data storage for performance and cost
Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews
Ensure data quality, governance, and security

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience (Senior)
Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses
Familiarity with BI tools and dashboards
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Remote work experience and ability to collaborate across time zones
