Engineering Manager, Marketplace

Fleetio is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Marketplace to lead the engineering team responsible for Fleetio's marketplace features, partner integrations, and ecosystem. This role focuses on delivering scalable, high‑quality software that connects fleet operators with essential services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Marketplace engineering team, shaping technical direction, engineering practices, and delivery quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver impactful marketplace features and integrations.
• Architect scalable solutions, improve reliability and performance, and drive operational excellence across the marketplace platform.
• Recruit, coach, and grow engineers; foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and ownership.
• Define and measure success metrics; balance speed with quality to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with a track record of shipping customer-facing features.
• 2+ years in people management or technical leadership of high-performing teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across product, design, and stakeholders.
• Experience with APIs, scalable architectures, and modern tech stacks common to SaaS platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and build high-performing teams in a rapidly changing environment.
