Senior Incubation Researcher/Engineer – Fireblocks

Role overview: Fireblocks is seeking a Senior Incubation Researcher/Engineer to lead early-stage product discovery and prototyping initiatives across our digital asset security platform. You will partner with product, design, and engineering to identify opportunities, design experiments, build prototypes, and translate insights into validated concepts. You will mentor and guide junior researchers/engineers and help scale incubation efforts across the organization.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end incubation programs to explore new product opportunities in the digital asset space.
• Design and run rapid experiments, build prototypes, analyze data, and communicate results with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems, success metrics, and milestones.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of rigorous experimentation and learning.
• Help scale incubation efforts by developing reusable patterns and playbooks for the organization.

What we look for

• 5+ years of experience in research, product incubation, or tech development.
• Strong software engineering and/or data science background (e.g., Python, data analysis, ML basics).
• Experience with rapid prototyping, experiments, A/B testing, or applied machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java/Scala, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern development workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
