About Figure Lending

Figure Lending is a fast-growing fintech lender focused on innovative consumer and small business financing. We are seeking a strategic Director of Capital Markets in New York to lead our capital markets strategy, debt financing activities, and investor relations as we scale.

Role Overview

The Director, Capital Markets will own fundraising activities, manage relationships with lenders and investors, and work with executive leadership to optimize capital structure and cost of capital.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the capital markets strategy, including debt facilities, securitizations, and other financing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, banks, asset managers, rating agencies, and other capital market participants.
• Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate funding scenarios and liquidity needs.
• Support negotiation and execution of term sheets, debt documents, and funding arrangements.
• Collaborate with treasury, finance, risk, and business units to ensure alignment of capital structure with strategic goals.
• Monitor market conditions and regulatory changes that affect capital markets activities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in capital markets, treasury, or corporate finance with a track record of successful debt financings or securitizations.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management abilities.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with senior leadership and external partners.
• MBA preferred; CFA/CAIA a plus.
