Associate DevOps Engineer

Overview

Figment is seeking an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in Canada. This entry-level role focuses on building reliable deployment pipelines and scalable infrastructure to support our growing suite of services. You will collaborate with software engineers to ship features quickly and securely, implement automation, and contribute to the reliability of production systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Help manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and other IaC tools.
• Work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage services.
• Participate in monitoring, logging, and incident response to ensure system reliability.
• Improve deployment automation, security, and observability.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and best practices for the team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps or related fields (or equivalent internship/co-op experience).
• Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
