Senior Payroll Specialist (London, United Kingdom or Dublin, Ireland)
Figma is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for our teams in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This role will oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure compliance with UK and Ireland statutory requirements, manage pension contributions and benefits, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with HR and Finance to deliver timely and accurate payroll data.
About the role
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for UK and Ireland employees.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC, Revenue, Auto-Enrolment, and pension rules; stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Maintain data accuracy in payroll systems and respond to data inquiries from HR, Finance, and employees.
- Collaborate with HR for new hires, terminations, and payroll changes; coordinate year-end activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Produce payroll analytics and reporting as required by management.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for UK and Ireland employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll runs and tax filings.
- Maintain compliance with UK and Ireland payroll legislation and pension schemes.
- Resolve payroll data discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly.
- Partner with HR and Finance to support payroll-related initiatives and annual cycles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of payroll experience in UK and/or Ireland.
- In-depth knowledge of UK and Ireland payroll laws, pension schemes, and benefits administration.
- Experience with payroll software/HRIS (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; payroll certification is a plus.
