Role overview

As a Developer Advocate in Bengaluru, you will be the primary liaison between Figma's engineering team and the developer community in India. You will create technical content, speak at events, run workshops, and help developers build on the Figma platform and integrate with our APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale Figma's developer relations program in India.
• Develop tutorials, sample projects, code samples, and API docs to empower developers.
• Deliver talks at conferences, meetups, and webinars; represent Figma's developer perspective publicly.
• Collaborate with product engineering to improve APIs, plugins, and SDK experiences.
• Engage with the developer community, answer questions, and gather feedback for product teams.
• Maintain and grow community channels, forums, and social programs.

Requirements

• 3+ years in developer relations, developer advocacy, software engineering, or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with APIs (REST).
• Experience creating developer-focused content: tutorials, documentation, blog posts, and videos.
• Ability to present publicly and travel for conferences/meetups as needed.
• Familiarity with Figma or design tools is a plus.
